Fabulous Valentine’s Day decorations that isn’t just for V-day … Resin & Crushed Glass Heart
This is a super fun and limitless decoration for Valentine’s Day and beyond. The idea of crushed glass to make art is brilliant. its part mosaic, part painting. in any event the results are stunning. I especially love doing it on glass and allowing light to do what it does best.. glistening, illuminate and sparkle
This 5 x 7 frame can add so much light and dimension to a collection of seasonal items
Resin & Crushed Glass gives you all the things you need to create something stunning.
Add embellishments or go for the simple and perfect.
What did I use and how did I make this?
1st secure the glass to the frame ( on the underside) with clear caulking or thick clear drying glue. Then tape it off also to prevent the resin from leaking out the back
5 x 7 frame from Dollar Tree
Red Crushed Glass from Micheal’s (Ashland brand), Clear glass for the bottom
Rhinestone chain to create the outline of the heart. I also used alittle clear Elmers Glue to keep the chain from moving around.
Stick on rhinestones for the boarder of the frame, buttons for flowers and leaf ribbon for stems.
Art Resin is dripped on the heart and then very slowly pour it over the picture . It took a total of 20 cc ( 10 of each part)
