How to Organize your Chalk Couture Transfers

I am an organization freak... I love to make my Chalk Couture transfers storage efficient and easy to access.

One of the first questions new designers ask is "how do you store your transfers".

Here's my system from a self professed organization lover.

 1   I use 1 1/2" 3 ring binders. These binders are for A and B size transfers

     They are  labeled as follows:

  1. Spring/Summer

  2. Autumn

  3. Christmas

  4. Full Page A Transfers 5" x 7"

  5. Full Page B Transfers 8" x 11"

  6. Alphabet

2  Take the transfer out of the plastic and if it is a full page B transfer (See the "The Best thing to Hold"...)

Write the name of the transfer on the back of the backer sheet with an oil based Sharpie (reg markers and pens dont work on the back of the glossy paper)

Place the whole transfer inside the Protective Sheet. Then place it in the binder for Full Page B Transfer

3   If it is a B size Transfer and there are elements to separate (See Hugs & Kisses).

Cut the lips, hearts and XOXO, peel off the backer sheets and place them on a 8 x 11 Backer Sheets from CC.

Place the word portion of Hugs and Kisses portion on another backer sheet. ( it is soooo  much easier placing a transfer on a larger backer sheet so you do not h have to line it up perfectly). Write the name of the transfer on the back of the backer sheet

Place the backer sheets in a Protective Sheet and put it in the Winter Binder

4   The larger Transfers are hung on my Bi-Fold louvred doors and a grid wall I hung on the  back of my bedroom doors. You can also use Cargo netting sold by the yard. (Hobby Lobby sells it for about $4.99/yard)

I use Paper Clips opened up the hang on the grid and the other hook for the transfer hook

Voila you are organized
